Welcome to my, 'John's Wild World'. I trust you will find the images contained within to be of interest.
(see NOTE at bottom of page before viewing)

From an early age I have had an interest in wildlife and in latter years an increasing interest in photography. Since I bought my first digital camera, around 6 years ago, my interest and involvement in photography has increased substantially.
I particularly like photographing 'wildlife in general' but tend mainly towards 'bird and landscape photography'.

My current equipment includes a - Canon 40D with Sigma EX 100-300mm F4 APO DG lens and Sigma EX 1.4 DG tele-converter which I use for wildlife and a Canon 400D with a Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC lens for use in general and landscape photography. I also use an Olympus C- 765 UZ from time to time and particularly so when in Dubai.

I get a great deal of satisfaction out of photography and continually strive to improve the quality of output by maximising the use of the camera equipment, computer and software that I have invested in. Too many people in my opinion expect to get high quality images straight out of the camera. I believe that good quality of the end product, the image, requires more than that.
There is nothing better than viewing a nice sharp detailed image whether it be your own or someone elses. In my opinion it's worth the extra time and effort to get such a result.

Most of my learning has come from viewing and comparing images and reading the forums in the 'Wild About Britain' web site of which I am a member.
I recommend WAB if you have any interest in wildlife and/or photograph.

I hope you get as much enjoyment out of photography and wildlife as I do. Enjoy it whilst you can.

All the very best

John D

Hi John,
Wow what great images! The design of your site is also user friendly well done.
I have just started my own site www.wildaboutwildlife.co.uk and whilst look for inspiration I found your site.
I have to upload a lot of images to my site over the next week or so, but I hope it looks ok in the end.
If you could give we any feedback on my site via the guest book I would be grateful and maybe one day you could add my site to your list of recomended site and I can do the same?
